According to the Brundrit website (a collection of morse code keys and other equipment)....
"The DULCI Co Ltd was situated at the DULCI Works, Tower Road, Pound Lane, Willesden, London in 1947. By 1953 they had moved to at 97 – 99 Villiers Road, London NW2. They were manufacturers of Radios, Amplifiers, Tape recorders, Band 3 converters and Tuner chassis. They also made Morse keys for the amateur radio market. In 1959 the company was taken over by Lee Products (Great Britain) Ltd."

"THE FAMOUS "SHAFTESBURY" RIBBON MIKE
Incorporating internal line transformer having transformation ratio from ribbon impedance up to 500-600 ohms ... reduced from 10 guineas. to £6."
This Shaftesbury microphone was made at the Dulci Works in Villiers Road, which dates it to between 1953 and 1959. The Dulci company also manufactured microphones under their own brand, such as this WE-23 carbon microphone.

Although a contemporary advertisement from 1953 claims that the Shaftesbury ribbon microphone has an internal transformer, our example does not. We have seen images of similar microphones with a small transformer positioned at the top of the microphone, behind the upper ribbon clamp.
